How to create a Windows Update shortcut on your desktop:

Right-click an empty spot on your desktop.
Click New.
Click Shortcut.
Type ms-settings:windowsupdate.
Click Next.
Type Windows Update or whatever you’d like to name the shortcut.
Click Finish.
